Also, do you think Alan Chartock's recent $52,000 (45%) pay hike is reasonable given that WAMC is a public charity supported by listener-members?

"Dues paying listeners"? There are no dues, it's not a club. You can donate or not donate. "Dues" implys a mandated donation, like dues to be in a club. I give to a lot of organizations, I don't get to decide who runs any of them. I "vote" by giving or not giving.
